OPTIMUS was established as Optical Publishing, Inc. in 1987. At that time the focus was on helping companies archive, manage and distribute high volume print output in digital format and disseminate legacy data applications on CD-ROM.
Today, as legal discovery and compliance are increasing in importance and becoming more prominent as a cost factor, OPTIMUS is committed to providing clients with competitive solutions facilitating the archiving and management of high volume transaction output on portable media and via the world wide web; without users having to learn and employ multiple tools and deal with disparate interfaces.

History
For over two decades, OPTIMUS Corporation has built custom solutions and products for the problems involved with the Capture, Management, Storage, Preservation, and Delivery of high volume content usable in computerized filing and retrieval systems for the private and the defense sector. During the early 1990’s, the company offered an alternative to the classic COLD implementations with an ERM solution incorporating archiving capabilities to optical media (CD-ROM).
Later in that decade with the rapid adaption of the Internet and increasing customer request for integrating different EDMS services into a single solution, new challenges and opportunities arose for the company. Based on the demand for scalability – that is, the ability of software products to continue to function well when they are deployed on a wide scale – the architectural framework for today’s flagship product, OptiWeb, was laid out in the early years of the new millennium.
OptiWeb is a fully integrated archival and publishing solution that can be deployed to multiple geographical locations and thousands of users with processing capabilities for hundreds of millions of documents. With a management team focused on continuous technology and process improvement, OPTIMUS® is concentrating on specialty offerings in the wide universe of Enterprise Content Management to address customer needs arising from compliance and eDiscovery.
